Final Project Proposal 



For my final project, I intended to photograph my hometown of State College. My plan is to evoke a feeling of hometown through landscape and narrative photos. I want to photograph this subject in order to capture and share the places around town where I have memories. I want to capture what State College is like now. I think in a few years State College is going to be a much bigger place and I want to remember the town I grew up in. It will be very easy for me to revisit the subject since we are in State College. In order to build on critique I will easily be able to revisit the places and activities as before. I have a lot of different places in town I want to photograph so I don’t think I will run out of places. I think people will be interested in my photographs because mostly everyone has a hometown and can relate to the feeling of being home. Through my photos I hope people get a sense of comfort and nostalgia. The only challenge I anticipate running into is with weather. Most of my images will be outside so I am depending on good weather.

Leamy: Final Project Proposal Revisited

Final Proposal              For my final project, I intend on following a similar vein from my style project and photographing homes that have a sense of personality and uniqueness to them, specifically in State College, Philadelphia, Downingtown, and West Chester. I want to photograph this subject because I personally find homes very appealing and I think they have extreme potential to tell a story to a viewer that perhaps would have been unexplored otherwise. Furthermore, I want to address the discrepancies present among different towns and their houses (State College versus living spaces in Philadelphia versus another suburban areas of Downingtown and West Chester). Garrett Curfman revised proposal

Garrett Curfman Final project proposal Photo 202 For my final project I have decided to take photos of city atmospheres. This includes the backsides of building, and items that reflect a “backstage” view of the atmosphere. I chose to do this because I love cities. New York City is my favorite place. Myself alone in the maze of concrete buildings and seeing all the unique aspects of the city get me inspired to create. There is so much personality and stories to be told by the streets and buildings that I pass every day in downtown State college.  I have photographed buildings, streets, alleys, and different items found in the city environment that further reflect where the photos are taken.
