Garrett curfman Final project proposal

For my final project I have decided to take photos of city atmospheres. This may include city scapes building, and items that reflect the city atmosphere. I chose to do this because I love big cities. New York City is my favorite place. Myself alone in the maze of concrete buildings and seeing all the unique aspects of the city get me inspired to create. There is so much personality and stories to be told by the streets and buildings that I pass everyday in downtown state college. 
I plan on photographing buildings, streets, alleys, and different items found in the city environment that further reflect where the photos are taken. I may come in contact with a few challenges when creating this project. The one that really sticks out is the weather. For the next several weeks, it’s going to be cold so taking that in consideration of how much time I spend outside will be interesting. Another is locations. I will need to broaden my horizons and find new places that I haven’t photographed in yet, or if I have, what I can do different. Also the time of day. As the sun sets sooner, I will need to determine what time the photos need to be taken to get the ideal natural sunlight needed to create clear images. 
I think viewers will find it interesting in that it reflects my interests. These images will in a sense reflect my personality. Also the composition of these photos should be dynamic making viewers awe at what they are seeing. This project I believe will further expand my photography skills in creating my images. Learning new things, and exploring new destinations, to gain further inspiration from the environment around me.

Leamy: Final Project Proposal Revisited

Final Proposal              For my final project, I intend on following a similar vein from my style project and photographing homes that have a sense of personality and uniqueness to them, specifically in State College, Philadelphia, Downingtown, and West Chester. I want to photograph this subject because I personally find homes very appealing and I think they have extreme potential to tell a story to a viewer that perhaps would have been unexplored otherwise. Furthermore, I want to address the discrepancies present among different towns and their houses (State College versus living spaces in Philadelphia versus another suburban areas of Downingtown and West Chester). Garrett Curfman Final project proposal Photo 202 For my final project I have decided to take photos of city atmospheres. This includes the backsides of building, and items that reflect a “backstage” view of the atmosphere. I chose to do this because I love cities. New York City is my favorite place. Myself alone in the maze of concrete buildings and seeing all the unique aspects of the city get me inspired to create.
