Oscar Chen Final Project Proposal

  1. I intend to photograph shoes for my final project. 
  2. For me, sneaker culture was a big part of my childhood growing up and now the first thing that I notice about someone are the shoes that they wear. You can tell a lot about someone by the shoes that they wear. Shoes are a window to the soul.  
  3. Everyone wears shoes, so I won’t be too hard for me to come up with new photos. 
  4. My photos will be interesting to anyone who is also a fan of sneaker culture and it will also be a different take on the classic portrait of someone. 
  5. Some challenges that I expect to run into are people being uncomfortable with me taking photos of their shoes. The worst they can say is no, and ill just move on and look for the next pair shoes. Another issue is with winter rapidly approaching, the snow might make it difficult to take aesthetically pleasing photos. Especially when the snow becomes a black slushy mess.
    1. The photos that I want to create won;t be similar to the ones that someone would see in a shoe commercial. I want to create images where the person face isn’t visible, forcing the viewer to use whatever is in the image (shoes) to determine what is taking place, characterics of the subject,tell a story, etc . I want to photography the benefits and beauty of things especially the landscapes in the morning. I intend to photograph it because I really enjoy the morning in a day, because of the fresh air, healthy lifestyle, most beautiful views in a day. Leamy: Final Project Proposal Revisited

Final Proposal              For my final project, I intend on following a similar vein from my style project and photographing homes that have a sense of personality and uniqueness to them, specifically in State College, Philadelphia, Downingtown, and West Chester. I want to photograph this subject because I personally find homes very appealing and I think they have extreme potential to tell a story to a viewer that perhaps would have been unexplored otherwise. Furthermore, I want to address the discrepancies present among different towns and their houses (State College versus living spaces in Philadelphia versus another suburban areas of Downingtown and West Chester). Garrett Curfman revised proposal

Garrett Curfman Final project proposal Photo 202 For my final project I have decided to take photos of city atmospheres. This includes the backsides of building, and items that reflect a “backstage” view of the atmosphere. I chose to do this because I love cities. New York City is my favorite place. Myself alone in the maze of concrete buildings and seeing all the unique aspects of the city get me inspired to create. There is so much personality and stories to be told by the streets and buildings that I pass every day in downtown State college.  I have photographed buildings, streets, alleys, and different items found in the city environment that further reflect where the photos are taken.
