Skinner: Final Project Proposal

Photo 202 final proposal

1.     For my final photography 202 project I want to show the most eye-catching architecture within my daily travels. From the Centre County area to my travels home for thanksgiving break I want to capture my favorite pieces that I pass by every day. I want to make places appeal to others and have their architecture stand out the most.
2.     I want to photograph the elements that make up architecture and what makes them so eye-catching to everyday viewers. I want to show the most important parts of places and have the viewer understand the importance of these places to others.
3.     I plan on revisiting the subjects over the last few weeks of classes after I get feedback on my first few weeks of images to improve upon angle, what to cut out of photos and how to make the areas and buildings more appealing to the eye.
4.     Any viewer besides me will care to spend time with the images because for any architecture student it will become second nature to look at these buildings and pull out the important aspects of each building and what makes it appealing to the eye. But for a person who is not educated on buildings and bridges over what aspects make them the most important, I will try to extenuate the small details to make them the most visible to others.
5.     Challenges I am anticipating running into with this project is the weather not being so sunny and clear. I am also worried about is not being able to capture a story to people who are not familiar with the area, I am worried they will not understand the importance of the images. I want the images to appeal to everyone and have the viewers think how the architecture of these subjects are important and make each area that I visited unique to itself.
